Some information tells us that Squire Madison MATT Edwards (1852-1930) of North Carolina and Mahaska, Washington Co., KS descends from Henry the VIII (Henry Tudor). The stories say Henry the VIII is known to have had 6 wives and 2 or 3 mistresses during his marriage to Catherine of Aragon. One mistress may have been Agnes Blewitt. Henry the VIII fathered a son with her, whom was born after her marriage to William Edwardes. She and William named the son Richard Edwardes. Agnes and William Edwardes had other children.

Some sources do not even mention a mistress Agnes Blewitt.
