St. Paul German Evangelical Lutheran Church was founded 22 JAN 1862 2 1/2 miles northeast of Denver in Maxfield Township, Bremer County, Iowa, under the leadership of Pastor Greckler. Later moved to Denver, Iowa in 1902. In 1957 named the United Church of Christ.

The Charter Members of the church were: Henry Borchert, Carl Bruns, John Bruns, Conrad Clausing, Heinrich Heine, Carl Koehler, Johann Kaben, H. Leege, Heinrich Moehling, Friedrich G. Moehling, Henry Milius, Henry Ohlendorf, Gustav Pockels, Henry Poock, Christoph Rohlwing, Henry Steege, Sr., John Severin, F.R. Severin, Louis Severin, Christ Stumme, August Tegtmeier, Wilhelm Tegtmeier, F.R. Wittenburg, and Heinrich Wilkening.

The alphabetical lists were extracted from the 125th Anniversary Booklet of the Church which was prepared in 1986. In this booklet baptisms, confirmations, marriages and deaths are listed in chronological order. The NO. column in these lists refers to the order in which the baptisms were carried out during the year.
