The 1805 Apelern Baptism entry about the illegitimate child is difficult to read. Mother is Ilse Marie Sophie Steding, youngest daughter of teacher Steding of Klein Hegesdorf. She says the child was generatet (born) in the house of (Borger)ding in Gr. Hegesdorf Nr. 5. The surname of the father of the child is Koelling. The father is either the stepson of Christoph Koelling or Koelling is possibly the stepson of Borgerding. It seems as if the father admitted the defloration, but rejects to be the father of the child (???). Witness of the baptism was Consens (?) Dem. (?) Rath Lange (?) of Rodenberge, represented by the midwife (Bademutter).
