Fred Domeier first lived in Beecher, IL with his parents. They eventually left IL and lived for a time in Iowa and later they moved to Fillmore County, NE. When they first arrived in NE the lived on a farm that was located 1-1/2 miles northeast of Ohiowa.

After his marriage to Dena, they lived across the road to the north of his parents. They lived in Fillmore County for all of their married lives except for a period of 3 years that they spent in Blue Hill, Webster County, NE.

In 1929, the family moved to a farm north of Ohiowa, NE. After the death of Dena in 1933, Fred and his son Walter moved to Ohiowa.
