OBITUARY OF MRS. MOLLIE BAHE NOVEMBER 1960
Mrs. Mollie Bahe, daughter of Wilhelm and Wilhelmina Buchmeier, was born May 19, 1878 in Fillmore Co., NE at the site of the present Ohiowa, formerly called Franklin. She was baptized Sep. 15 of that year at St. John Lutheran Church there by Pastor S.H. Holdgraf. It was at this same church that she was confirmed. On Feb. 11, 1897, she was united in marriage with Henry Bahe. God blessed this union with 2 children, William and Elsie.

After some years the family moved to the Hubbell area, where they lived until the time of their retirement in 1947, when they came to Deshler to stay with Mrs. and Mrs. August Othling. On Aug. 30 of that year, Mr. Bahe was called to his eternal home. From that time on Mrs. Bahe stayed with her children, Mr. and Mrs. William Bahe, at Goodland, KS. At least once each year she would come back to Deshler to be with her children, Mr. and Mrs. August Othling, except this past summer when arthritis made that impossible.

November 6 she suffered a servere stroke. In His mercy God took her to Himself November 21 at about 6 p.m. at the age of 82 years, 6 months and 2 days. She was preceded in death by her husband; one brother, Henry; two sisters Mathilda Schweer and Anna Thomas.

There remain to cherish her memory a son, William and his wife, Goodland, KS; one daughter, Elsie and her husband, Mr, and Mrs. August Othling, Deshler; one brother, R.G. Buchmeier, Geneva; one sister, Lydia Thomas, Nampa, ID; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, besides other relatives and friends. In recent years it was not always easy for her to get about, yet she attended the Lutheran Chhurch as often as possible, received Holy Communion faithfully, and took an active interest in the church activities.

Funeral services were held Nov. 26 from Peace Lutheran Church in Deshler. Pastor Erwin F. Janssen spoke on John 10:10. The congregations sang Jersulem; Thou City Fair and High and Rock of Ages. The choir sang For Me to Live is Jesus. Interment was in Peace Lutheran Cemetery. The pallbearers were: Arnold Brettmann, Edwin Brettmann, LeRoy Othling, Charles Tyrell, Wilber Bahe and Loren Bahe.

If you have come to my website via Ancestry: Several years ago the genealogy giant Ancestry absorbed the genealogy websites of Rootsweb along with personal databases posted at Rootsweb's WorldConnect Project that included a large database of my own family information. I started using Rootsweb in 2000 and they gave us the capability to add, remove, and update our information at anytime and I used these options frequently to post correct and current data. Presently (2006) I am told by Ancestry that we cannot maintain our own databases, we cannot even remove them. If you find information at Ancestry with my name attached please search my website for current information, the databases posted at Ancestry contain inaccurate information. - Karen Rowe.
