Family Oltrogge (Johann Christoph Oltrogge and Engel Maria Seger) sold the farm at Riehe #36 to Johann Conrad Battermann from Hohnhorst #35 and his wife Anna Maria Mensching. Sons of Johann Christoph Oltrogge immigrated to America. Johann Christoph Oltrogge was born 04 DEC 1760 at Horsten #12, son of Johann Heinrich Oltrogge and Ilsa Catharina Maria Altenberg Gummer. He died 11 AUG 1832 at Riehe. His wife was Engel Maria Seger (Segert) born 03 MAR 1761 at Riehe #6, daughter of Hans Heinrich Seger and Anna Maria Schermer. They were married 05 OCT 1780 at Nenndorf. Johann Philipp Oltrogge, son of Johann Christoph Oltrogge and Engel Maria Seger, was born 08 APR 1798 at Riehe #6. He married Catharina Engel Dorothea Charlotte Luebke 25 AUG 1839 at Nenndorf, daughter of Johann Hilmar Luebke and Catharina Dorothea Oldenberg. Johann Conrad Battermann was born 26 MAY 1789 at Hohnhorst #35, son of Cord Heinrich Battermann (1745-1805) from Waltringhausen and Ilsa Maria Meyer (ca 1759-1833) from Haste. He married Anna Maria Dorothea Mensching 06 AUG 1815 at Nenndorf. She was born 14 JAN 1790 at Riehe #27, daughter of Johann Wilhelm Mensching (ca 1753-1800) from Limmer and Engel Maria Luebke (1757-1830) of Riehe #27. Johann Heinrich Conrad Battermann, son of Johann Conrad Battermann and Anna Mensching was born 25 MAR 1820 at Riehe #36. He married Engel Dorothea Lippmann 04 JUN 1848, daughter of Johann Heinrich Lippmann from Ohndorf/Riehe #40 and Maria Dorothea Raedeker from Kreuzriehe #4. Johann Konrad Battermann, son of Johann Heinrich Conrad Battermann and Engel Dorothea Lippman married 06 DEC 1874 to Engel Maria Dorothea Tegtmeier from Kreuzriehe. Johann Konrad Battermann, son of Johann Konrad Battermann and Engel Maria Dorothea Tegtmeier married 27 NOV 1910 to Engel Maria Sophia Scheibe from Kreuzriehe #17. He married 08 DEC 1911 to Engel Maria Friederike Bock widow Bode from Horsten #41. |

If you have come to my website via Ancestry: Several years ago the genealogy giant Ancestry absorbed the genealogy websites of Rootsweb along with personal databases posted at Rootsweb's WorldConnect Project that included a large database of my own family information. I started using Rootsweb in 2000 and they gave us the capability to add, remove, and update our information at anytime and I used these options frequently to post correct and current data. Presently (2006) I am told by Ancestry that we cannot maintain our own databases, we cannot even remove them.
