Conrad Reifschneider, Sr. was born in Kukkus, Russia on Sept. 10 1881 (sic.). There he was baptized and after receiving instruction he was confirmed in the Holy Truths. In 1904 he entered into the state of marriage with Katharina Johannes. Three childre were born of this marriage. Father Reifschneider had already suffered for many years and died on Thursday, Nov. 30 in the hospital. He reached the age of 96 years, 2 months and 20 days. He is survived by his wife, Katharina Reifschneider, two sons: Conrad in Lincoln and Jacob in Inglewood, Calif., one daughter, Mrs. Henry Ostwald in Lincoln, 8 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two brothers, Peter and John in Lincoln, two sisters, Mrs. Fred Reitz in Paxton, Nebr., and Katherine Margaret Kukas in Laurel, Mont. May our Heavenly Father comfort them. The funeral took place on Saturday, dec. 2nd, in Hodgman-Splain Chapel, and the burial at Wyuka Cemetery. Lincoln, Nebr. Benjamin Rieger, Pastor.
